Application Notes
Carbenicillin is a derivativeof penicillin with a mode of action similar to benzylpenicillin. It is the most commonly used antibiotic for the elimination of Argobacteriumtumefaciens due to its relatively low toxicity fora wide range of plant species. A concentration of 500 mg/L is recommended to achieve microbe toxicity; however, concentrations up to 1000 mg/L have been reported in plant tissue culture literature.
